🎓 Senior Spotlight: Gabriella Elias-Ramirez

There is going to be an interest meeting for parents of students who will be entering the 4th through 12th grades at Canton Public Schools next school year, that are interested in playing baseball . The meeting will be Wednesday April 1st following baseball practice @ approximately 5:15 pm, and it will be in the High School Cafeteria.

Attention Parents:

A parent meeting will be held on Monday, March 30th at 6:30 PM in the school cafeteria. This meeting is for parents of boys entering 4th–12th grade who plan to participate in basketball.

🎓 Senior Spotlight: Lane Denton

The Canton FFA was busy for two weeks at the biggest Junior livestock show, and then get back from break and get straight back to the grind. Today at the NWOSU Interscholastics students, Landon Vowell, Dallas Freeman, Lane Denton, Tresdyn Hutchinson, Cooper Baker, Conner Martin, and Aiden Green, competed in the Ag Mechanics contest. The Ag Mech Team #1 was 4th high team, Landon Vowell was 2nd high individual, Dallas Freeman was 10th high individual, and the Ag Mech Team #2 was 14th. Then in the Ag Communications contest Harper Jones was 20th individual and Karlee Pope was 30th individual. Super proud of their efforts today, a great day to be a Canton FFA tiger!!!

We would like to share the OYE results of the Canton 4H & FFA livestock exhibitors. To start off the first group of animals there, all but one gilt made it up the hill into the big show arena. This was a huge accomplishment for our students and their exhibits. Ellie Broadbent placed 8th with her Hamp gilt and Easton Robertson placed 11th with his Duroc gilt. Other gilt swine exhibitors were Paisley and Presley Brodbent, Sisaly Hepner. Then in the second phase of animals, during the ewe show Taylor Martin had a 7th place Shrop ewe and a 9th place Hamp ewe. Other ewe exhibitors were Conner Martin, Grace Pope, Sisaly Hepner, and Hannah Hoffman. Then to finish out OYE, in the market show exhibitors were Dallas Freeman, Brody Martin, Conner Martin, and Grace Pope. Mr. Mitchell and Mrs. Wood are very proud of these kids!! There were forty to fifty animals per class and the water ran deep. They were at the barn by 6 or 6:30 every morning, spent 12 to 14 hours there every day, and plus have cared for these animals since last April on the sheep and October on the pigs. We see your effort and commitment to your livestock, and are again SO proud of you ALL!!!!

✨Canton Promenade information for Saturday, March 28th, 2026. ✨. Lights! Camera! Action! 🎥❤️✨ 🕕Lineup for the promenade will begin at 5:15pm. We will start with one lane (left) for the juniors and one lane (right) for the seniors side-by-side in between the Canton high school and Canton elementary driveway.(Picture below provided). ❤️Promenade will start at 5:30pm. We will start promenade with juniors, then seniors. As it starts, you will drive up to cafeteria doors one car at a time. Exit vehicle and have a parent, friend or Guardian park your vehicle in the Canton High School parking lot. 🎥Guests, please line both sides of the red carpet! 📣Students will be announced outside. They will stop for pictures then make their way inside and down the hallway towards front office to get onto the bus to be taken to the venue. If you’re driving your own vehicle, have a family member drive your vehicle to the front of the high school doors to follow the bus. Remember that only students with a signed waiver at the office will be allowed to drive their own vehicles to the prom venue. All others must ride the bus. 🚌 Canton High School looks forward to seeing you at promenade!

The 5th grade wax museum will be closing soon (6:15ish)!

Art students' work in progress. . . The sculptures now have paper towel 'skin' glued onto the surface. I'm proud of the kids using their imagination to create their own forms. Next step is to paint!!
