🎨 Exciting day for our high school art students! Today, we had the incredible opportunity to visit the Ansel Adams art museum. 🌄 The students were inspired by Adams' breathtaking landscapes and learned about his unique photographic techniques. It was a fantastic experience that encouraged them to think more deeply about their own artistic expressions. A big thanks to the museum staff for their insightful tour! Can't wait to see how this visit influences our students' future projects! 📸✨

If you notice something new in the courtyard in the high school building, Mr. Mitchell donated flowers and new flower pots to brighten up the courtyard. The Canton FFA helped water them this morning.
Thank you Mr. Mitchell and Canton FFA!!

Our FCA Leadership Spotlight this week is Kalissa Mathis! ✝️
"Hi everyone! My name is Kalissa Mathis and I’m so excited to serve as the Vice President of FCA this year. I’m currently a freshman and I’m involved in FCCLA, FFA, FCA, as well as being a varsity cheerleader 📣!
For me, FCA is all about building a community where we can encourage each other, grow in our faith, and be leaders both on and off the field, court, and through the hallways. As Vice President, I hope to help make this a space where everyone feels welcome and supported, no matter where you’re at in your faith journey.
I’m looking forward to all the things we’ll do together this year—whether it’s devotionals, service projects, or just growing closer as a group. Thanks for letting me be a part of leading FCA with you all!"

Our elementary theme this school year is Adventure Awaits! Shawnie Martin and Kim Murray treated the students to a presentation about the UK complete with tea and crumpets!

FCA Bake Sale happening now!! Come get your goodies for Labor Day weekend 🥧🍰🍪

Thank you so much to the Canton Community, Garber football fans, and even lake campers for coming out and showing our FFA chapter support!! We had an awesome fundraiser. Everything raised will be a great help for our National Convention trip.

Another big thank you to Mack Wood and Dalton Norris for helping us cook this evening!

🌍 Our 7th grade geographers are bringing the world to life! Students are learning about landforms and building their own models out of salt dough. From mountains to valleys, rivers to plateaus, they’re turning geography into hands-on creativity. 🗺️✨

🔬✨ Our 8th graders are experimenting with electromagnets! They built their own and tested how electricity and magnetism work together. Science in action = curiosity sparked! ⚡🧲

Journey of Hope
The World History and Oklahoma History classes attended the Dewey County Journey of Hope presentation at Seiling High School on Tuesday, August 26. The students learned about the history of the Murrah Building Bombing and the Oklahoma Standard from staff members of the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum. Oklahoma Representative Mike Dobrinski read the mission statement of the Museum, and Forester Mark Bays, who has cared for the Survivor Tree since 1996, talked about the history of the Survivor Tree and its significance to the Memorial. The students were asked to write down one thing they can do this week to practice the Oklahoma Standard in their school. A seedling from the Survivor tree and a plaque made from the granite of the Murrah Building will be placed at Seiling High School in honor of the 30th Anniversary of April 19, 1995.
