🎙️Next, who’s stationed by the plow?…🎙️ Sisaly Hepner! • Hey y’all! This is Sisaly Hepner serving as your 25-26 Canton FFA Vice president! My duties are assisting the President and coordinating our chapter, while also being able to take over for the president when needed. This is my 2nd year to be in office and i’ll be a Junior! Currently, my favorite song is Let Em’ Talk by Ty Meyers! 🖋️ • Other things I do outside of the FFA are Stuco as the current Reporter, FCA in which I was the 24-25 Vice President, NHS as Reporter, Academic Team, NHD, and Choir. 📸 • The most valuable FFA experience for me was definitely Alumni Camp. 2024 was my first year ever attending, and ever since i’ve been passionate in the FFA like no other. Alumni Camp taught me the true importance in team work and how important it is to bond with your team to able to accomplish goals. If there’s one FFA event a FFA member should have to go to, i’ll always say Alumni Camp! ☀️ • My plans after high school is to run in State FFA office, and attend OSU for pre-veterinary medicine or Ag Com. 🤠 • The thing I look forward to the most is the challenges we’ll face this year as a team, and how we’ll cooperate during the good and hard times. My goal is to build our team up with unconditional support and love, but also discipline. 🫂 • As famous country artist Cody Johnson quotes in his song “Til You Can’t”, “If you got a chance- take it. Take it while you’ve got the chance.” I encourage every younger FFA member to just leap right in! Take all the opportunities you can that are handed to you and work hard in it. Don’t be afraid, you’ll love it on the Blue and Gold side. ⚡️ Thank you guys for reading through, I cannot wait to serve another year in this amazing chapter! 🫶🏻 Written by: 25-26 Canton FFA Vice President Sisaly Hepner

🌟 **Introducing Our New Social Worker!** 🌟 We are excited to announce that Mrs. Suzanne McVicker has transitioned into the role of our new Social Worker! Many of you may already know her from her various roles in our school, where she made a significant impact on our students and community. With a deep commitment to supporting the emotional and social well-being of our students, Mrs. McVicker brings wealth of knowledge and is passionate about creating a safe and nurturing environment where every student feels valued and heard. She is a 2005 graduate from Southwestern State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. (BSW) It has always been a dream of hers to work as a social worker and a coach. "I feel the stars aligned perfectly and it to be a huge blessing for me to have acquired this position in this district. I have worked at Canton Public Schools for 11 years. Before employment with the school I worked for child welfare for 10 years. I have a passion for children and helping families," expressed Mrs. McVicker. In her new role, Mrs. McVicker hopes to connect students and their families to local and state resources that can offer help and hope for the family. Within the school, she plans to expand the sharing shelf, provide assistance for clothing items needed by students, assist with connecting families to the food pantry, help with the backpack program, serve as liaison between the school and OKDHS, monitor and observe at-risk students - contact parents, and play an active role in the Capturing The Kids Heart program we have at our school. She will be a support to help students navigate out-of-classroom obstacles that affect their success in the classroom. From working closely with families to collaborating with teachers and staff, Mrs. McVicker hopes to create a safe, nurturing environment where every student feels seen, heard, and supported. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Suzanne McVicker to this new position! We look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students and families.

‼️MEET THE 25-26 CANTON FFA OFFICER TEAM‼️ These next few weeks we’ll be introducing the new officers with some fun questions. . First up, who is stationed by the rising sun?☀️ • Hello, my name is Hannah Hoffman and I’m your 25-26 President! My role is to lead our FFA and represent our chapter. This year I’ll be a junior, and currently my favorite song is Boys Don’t Cry by The Cure.🔹 • Outside of the FFA I also am a member on the Academic Team, Art, History Day, and serving as the current Vice President in National Honors society. 🎯 • I think the most valuable FFA experience is stepping out of your comfort zone, and being encouraged to try new things.🏆 • My plans after high school are going to college with an interest of either journalism or biology.✍🏻 • This year, what I am looking forward to is, completing in more contests! 🌱 • Some advice I would give to younger FFA members is to get out there and try new things! It might change your perspective on things.💛 Written by: 25-26 Canton FFA Vice President Sisaly Hepner

Attention Girls Junior High Basketball Players and Parents: The girls leave tomorrow at 8am for the Junior High team camp at Morrison. Coach Davis has tried to send messages through our Thrillshare app. Right now only two JH girls have been responding. Please make sure you download the Canton Public Schools app so you can receive these important messages. You can check the image attached to this post. If you go to App Store and type Canton Public Schools you should see the correct app circled in the image. That's a screenshot from my own phone so I know it works on an Apple device.
