Canton High School is incredibly proud of freshman, Hayden Estrada, who recently showcased her History Day exhibit at the Freedom Fiesta Celebration in Oklahoma City.
Her project, which highlights the Civil Rights Movement and the bravery of the 13 original sit-inners led by Ms. Clara Luper, has received statewide recognition.
On Thursday evening, Hayden presented her exhibit at the Oklahoma Historical Center, where her work was featured on News Channel 4. The following night, she shared her project again at an art exhibition and panel discussion, where it was highlighted on News Channel 5.
Hayden’s dedication to honoring history and sharing the story of Clara Luper is an inspiration to all of us. What an incredible way to celebrate history and represent Canton High School!
