**Canton Jr/Sr High School Students Shine at National History Day Competition**
This week, Canton Jr/Sr High School proudly represented their state at the National History Day Competition held in College Park, Maryland, showcasing an impressive nine entries after achieving first and second place at the state level in Oklahoma City last month.
The contingent from Canton featured a diverse array of projects, including five exhibits, two websites, and two performances, each aligned with this year's theme: Rights and Responsibilities. The hard work and dedication of the students were made possible through the guidance of four dedicated teachers—Mrs. Penny Heath, Mrs. Alicia Sanderson, Mrs. Tiffany Estrada, and Mrs. Katelynn Brasch—who provided support and encouragement throughout the project development process.
“We want to congratulate all of our students who competed all year and those who made it to nationals,” said a representative from the school. “While none of our students walked across the stage this year with a national win, we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments. Notably, four students earned recognition by placing in the Top 10 of their category with three outstanding exhibits.”
Congratulations to all of our students who competed and a special recognition to Hayden, Harper, Emmy, and Mackenzie for their impressive feats at the competition. Their achievements not only reflect their hard work but also the spirit of excellence fostered by the Canton Jr/Sr High School History Day program.
